‘Sick love’ & ‘Unicorn Bow-nes’

Tornados and Trinkets as a brand is all about self-expression and evolution of style, each design begins with my ‘dream’ wardrobe in mind, and what I would want to style and restyle into different looks. Everything I design I think of how it could be worn, who will wear it and how. I create with the idea of being inclusive as well as creating dream accessories.

Sick love, is a customisable Ita bag that is a physical manifestation of obsession, brain-rot and desire to collect and show the things that you love, so much love that the obsession becomes a “sickness”. Ita bags originally popularised in Tokyo Japan translates to “painful bag” this could mean to look at or on your bank account, The Sick love Ita bag collection took the concept of ‘pain’ and took it in the direction of love and obsession as those things can be the most painful emotions.

Unicorn Bow-nes is about subverting the traditional way bows are viewed. Bows are a very popular detail in Japanese street fashion they are soft and perceived as very feminine, while a harness is on the opposite spectrum of fashion, something risque. The harness is meant to give the look of a spine something that is seen a lot in darker aesthetics but softened by the bows and choice of fabrics creating a striking accessory that can be placed in many different fashion styles.
